It Happens
Today as I sit down to key in some words on my blog again, there are so many thoughts lingering around in my mind. Whether I would be able to express them all is a tough question. It has been a while since I took to writing which has now taken the digital form, yes all the writings which were previously mostly through a fountain pen and a diary have now been replaced by Blogs. The very same fingers which were once used to hold my favorite 'Hero' and 'Parker' pens are now running around in my laptop keyboard randomly picking up words. I feel the digital media have brought us a step closer to realize our thoughts, the thing being now our fingers are more at ease in remembering which keys to look for and type in as I think.
After a failed attempt at daily Diary writing, I did not pay much attention to write anything creative or otherwise and most of my words were captured in business communication to the Clients and the like. My recent write ups came in the form of Film Reviews, I would say very immediately after watching 'Thattathin Marayathu'. There might be more than one reasons why I chose to write such a review which I have never done before though I thought I was a good film critic mostly attributing to the amount of films I get to watch. This one film was something about which my Facebook page would get flooded every day almost since its filming with pictures, posts and shares. And most of all one of my college mate even acted in the film, so all these factors were out there in my mind and I could not help but praise the effort of everyone involved in the movie after watching it.
It was almost a thought which came to me out of nowhere about an attempt to write something up for such a good work which the film crew had done, so immediately on reaching office I opened up a notepad and started pouring out my thoughts about the film into it. I would say, the words flowed almost flawlessly as I started typing and I would say that the review almost captured the core essence of the film to such an extent that I got words from some of my friends that I could have avoided narrating the story as I went about the review. Later that day, after Jasir my friend who runs the website Boolokam who had asked me to write something for the English version of the website readily accepted my review and posted it in the website. That was something new to me, thinking that my words are now essentially being shared with a global audience. So, it was a pleasant surprise for me as I watched the post in the website again and again on which Jasir had added the needed YouTube videos and links which made it look even better.
After that post, which was read by many of my friends and family came across a question - where did these words come to you? That is something I would say 'It Happened', yes it had just happened. Even I don't think I would be able to provide a much better answer than that. But there was one thing I noticed after that write up and the positive comments from people around me, I was capable of doing something creative. That I think is something which I always wanted to do, yes that's right. I felt a sense of ease while putting across my thoughts as words and that too for something like a film review was a pleasing experience. I must say, words though come out as a result of the mind also give back the sense of satisfaction to the mind when I go through my work. That is true, I did not go about thinking too much about the words and just poured them out fresh as much as possible so that it would not lose the feel of my thoughts.
Even this post which I have written would not sometime make any sense to most of you and would think why would I have to share these thoughts, the answer to that is the same as I have before - 'It Happens'.
